FAQ
Is the credit score requirement personal or business?
It's the personal credit score of the business owner applying. Lenders may also look at your business's own credit file.
Can sole proprietors apply?
Most lender programs require a business incorporated in Canada. If you're a sole proprietor, talk to us and we'll tell you which options may fit.
Do I need to have been profitable?
Not necessarily. Lenders look at revenue and cash flow as well as profit, alongside the rest of your file.
Are some industries not eligible?
Some lenders don't finance certain industries. Your advisor will tell you early if your industry limits your options.
